Den Gamle Smedie i Børglum agter at bruge sin nyvundne indflydelse til om muligt at forøge interessen for nordisk topgastronomi - måske ved at forsøge at hente kokke-OL til Danmark

Interessen for det nordiske kokkemesterskab som konkurrence skal i fremtiden kunne måle sig med selveste Bocuse D'or, der sædvanligvis betragtes som de internationale topkokkes individuelle VM.

Det er et af fokuspunkterne for den nyvalgte formand for Nordic Chefs Association (NKF), den nordjyske restauratør Uffe Nielsen, der dermed vil gøre NM åben for alle internationalt.
”Målet er at fastholde og udbygge det momentum, som Nordisk Køkken og gastronomi har opnået med bl.a. Restaurant NOMA's internationale opstigen og Rasmus Kofoed som seneste Bocuse d'Or-vinder.
]]> <![CDATA[Martin Sveian er Nordic Chef of the Year]]> http://nkf.tonaflod.is/v.asp?page=251&Article_ID=84 Sat, 11 Jun 2011 18:16:00 GMT Ingen tilberedte menyen bedre enn Martin Sveian fra Norge da nordens fremste kokker møttes i Bergen under Nordisk Kongress 2.-5. juni. Best Wild Card ble Øyvind B. Dalelv medlem av Det norske junior-kokkelandslaget. I tillegg fikk Dalelv bronse i Nordic Chef of the Year.

Stemningen stod i taket da resultatene ble offentliggjorte. Dette er jo bare helt fantastisk!

Jørn Lie, dommer fra Norge sier det var høyt faglig nivå på konkurransen og at de beste vant.

Andre plassn i Nordic Chef of the Year gikk til Klas Lindeberg fra Sverige. Först och främsta vill jag framföra ett stort grattis till Klas och Emma för sina bedrifter under NM. Att komma tvåa i NM med den konkurrens och under de förutsättningarna, fullt utslagen dagen före tävling och sen ändå kunna prestera på toppnivå. Emma du ger hopp om framtiden och att det finns en klar återväxt.

A new board was elected as well as a new President. The Board is represented by 2 members of each of the 5 Nordic Contries.

I would like to say thank you for all the wonderful experiences and great times I've had with my colleagues in recent years, but I would also like to take this opportunity to wish Uffe Nielsen, my successor from Denmark, the best of luck.

Leaving the post as President of the NCA gives room for afterthought. Sure, it's good to pass on the responsibility, but this moment is also quite moving. I have been able to go on a journey many can only dream of. I have felt privileged to be a representative with both NKL and NCA.
]]> <![CDATA[Nyhedsbrev fra Præsidenten - NKF Kongres og Nordic Chef of the year i Bergen]]> http://nkf.tonaflod.is/v.asp?page=251&Article_ID=88 Fri, 24 Jun 2011 18:37:00 GMT Norge stod for værtskabet af NKFs kongres i Bergen 2-5 juni 2011 med Bergens mesterlaug som arrangør.
Der skal lyde en kæmpe tak til Arrangørene som havde lavet et stort flot stykke arbejde, der starte med hyggelig aften på ”Grand”, en fantatisk flot aften på Fløjen og sidst men ikke mindst en stilfuld galaaften.
Samt nogle helt perfekte rammer til kongressen og ” Nordic chef” konkurencen.
Åbning cermonien med overrækkelse af NKFs flag (Bergen flaget) foran Teater bygning var meget stilfuld og flot åbning af kongressen.

Kongressen blev gennemført med tolk af hensyn til vores finske kollegaer, dette skal vi se om ikke dette kan gøres lidt bedre til næste kongres, i det hele taget bør kongressen havde et løft, hvis vi skal gøre unge mennesker interesseret i at deltage.
